Well, Friday evening my main PC stopped booting. I was reinstalling Battlefield 1942 since I couldn’t get the version 1.6 to patch the existing installation. Unfortunately my computer (Win2k OS) bluescreened during the reinstall and then would never boot again. It would start to boot, get most of the way through the Win2k screen and then reset. Over and over again. I tried to repair with the Win2k disk, but that didn’t work. So finally I had to boot with Knoppix and FTP my critical stuff over to my Linux box. This DOES highlight to me the criticality of having a large HD to copy stuff over onto since if I have any new iTunes stuff in the last couple of months (and other than the free songs they give away every week, I don’t think I do), then I have lost them. Since even with a DVD writer it is a pain to backup 22GB of songs, I think I need a bigger HD on my PC since the biggest one I have other than my main 160GB drive is 30GB. Which by the time you install the OS, is not quite big enough to put 22GB of songs onto… I guess it is time to buy another drive.
