I spent yesterday putting in a pet door, working on my new Combat Mission
scenario “Fox Green Omaha”, taking Bella to a “Bark Park” and making Bruschetta
among other things. I see that the Simpon’s cast is no longer holding out for more money, which is good news.

In other news, an airsoft store just opened up here in Arizona with a lot of fanfare for once. Unfortunately it is an airsoft store that is run by a company with questionable motives and the article about it is filled with incorrect information. Just as an example, it claims that the airsoft BB’s travel at 1/3 the velocity of paintballs. This is blatantly wrong. The BB’s in airsoft travel at or above 285 feet per second (sniper rifles are 400-500fps), which is no slower than paintballs, which typically have a field limit of 250-400fps. However, since paintballs are around 3 grams in mass and airsoft BB’s are around .2-.25g in mass, the kinetic energy from an airsoft BB is about 12x less than a paintball due solely to this mass difference. Even accounting for the difference in size, which will have a tendency to increase the stress from the BB, the BB still exerts approximately 4x less impact stress than the paintball. In otherwords, while they are right that it hurts less to play airsoft, they were way wrong as to why. And that children, is our dynamics lesson for the day.
