Just installed the witty plugin with my giant list of quotes. Unfortunately for some reason it seems as if it doesn’t refresh everytime. Either that or some of my quotes are too long or something. I’ll have to play with it. In the meantime, enjoy.

Just installed the witty plugin with my giant list of quotes. Unfortunately for some reason it seems as if it doesn’t refresh everytime. Either that or some of my quotes are too long or something. I’ll have to play with it. In the meantime, enjoy. Yes, I have to follow my little brother because I am a loser :)… on the other hand, WordPress looks like a hell of a lot nicer blogging tool than blosxom, which is what I was using before this, and that was J.C.’s fault^Hrecommendation too :)… So, please comment on the new site with WordPress […] The first issue of Free Software Magazine is apparently on sale. I read some of the pdf online version while trapped in a meeting today. It doesn’t seem too bad, although perhaps the most interesting part was Richard Stallman’s blog. I might consider subscribing to it, but it is damned expensive (something like $90/yr) due […] Found this VERY cool weather extension for Firefox. It automagically updates from the weather channel into your Firefox browser status bar with the latest forecast for your area. Way cool. Well, Friday evening my main PC stopped booting. I was reinstalling Battlefield 1942 since I couldn’t get the version 1.6 to patch the existing installation. Unfortunately my computer (Win2k OS) bluescreened during the reinstall and then would never boot again. It would start to boot, get most of the way through the Win2k screen and […]
Yes! I built my 3.2GHz Prescott (90nm with a 1MB cache) Pentium 4 computer, with 1GB of 3200 DDR and an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro and it boots! Guess what OS it booted first? Knoppix! You can see in the first pic that it correctly recognizes the processor, but doesn’t […] I know I’ve been bad about updating the blog. Work is absolutely crazy right now. Those of you who know where I work can draw from that what you will. As far as updates… Night before last Bella bit open my bottle of silicone oil (AE Shock Oil 20 weight) from my AEG […] In honor of the 60th Anniversary of D-Day aka Operation Overlord (and my 34th birthday), I am releasing version 2.0 of my D-day scenario for Combat Mission called Big Red Omaha. This scenario has been completely redone using accurate maps and weapons lists for the Widerstandnesten (Reistance Nests) on the Fox Green area of […] I spent yesterday putting in a pet door, working on my new Combat Mission scenario “Fox Green Omaha”, taking Bella to a “Bark Park” and making Bruschetta among other things. I see that the Simpon’s cast is no longer holding out for more money, which is good news. In other news, an airsoft […] Well, with all the uproar around Playfair, I’ve decided to drop AAC as my format of choice and re-rip my 200 or so CDs to 256kbps mp3 instead. Not something to be undertaken lightly, but I’ve decided that it is unlikely I’ll buy an iPod anytime soon so it makes sense. Of course this will […] In the course of my Blog maintenance, I came across a couple of Windows apps (GPL’d of course) that are pretty great. One of them is called […] |
